Cooking from scratch is not only frugal but it tastes better than commercial food as well. If you are a chocoholic, love brownies, fudge and cookies, this is the recipe for you. It is moist, chewy cookie with the flavor and texture of a brownie. Kids love them as an after school snack. They are great for packing in lunches. This recipe does not call for nuts but you could always add a few nuts to the batter for you nut lovers. Yummy, can you smell them baking now?
Fudge Brownie Cookies
2 - 1/4 cups All purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup butter
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 - 1/2 cups chocolate chips.
1. Preheat oven to 375
2. Mix flour, baking soda, salt and cocoa powder in a small bowl.
3. In another bowl, beat the butter and sugars until light and
fluffy.
4. Blend in the eggs and vanilla. Add flour mixture, beating until
blended. Add in chocolate chips and stir to mix.
5. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Make sure you check them often. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Slightly under-baked will make them moist and fudgy, just like a rich brownie.
