Red's Vet Visit

Red had his vet appointment today.

The vet cut out all of the dead tissue on his gums and gave him another antibiotic shot. She gave him IV fluids as well because he is dehydrated.
She didn't want to do another blood test yet to check out his kidney values because he is still not well.

He lost a half a pound in just one week, so he has to take appitite stimulant pills and we will have to give him IV fluids at home for a while. I really feel bad doing that, but it is necessary. I had to give one of my cats (who  had renal failure) IV fluids about 8 years ago.

He ate a little bit today so hopefully the pills will help.
