Last night my kids and i tye dyed shirts. We had alot of fun. We bought some kit that had a tube that you scrunched your shirt into and it had holes in it that you could put a squeeze bottle through and squeeze the color onto the shirt. It really streaked the shirt, and it was by far the best tye dye shirt I ever made. The biggest problem with it was that the kit said that it c ontained enought dye to make 12 shirts, and I only did 5 and we ran out of color. The colors were really bright and dramatic though.
So today it was off to the store to buy the RIT dye, to tye dye in the more traditional manner. The kids are having such a blast. I might run out to buy some white pillow cases to make them for the kids beds. Wish I had bought some sweatshirts!
