A Nightmare on Elm Street: Remake

So, they are planning on releasing a remake of " A Nightmare On Elm Street ".

No, I'm not even joking- Does it look like I'm in a jesting mood?

The thought of this absolutely irks me to the end of my chain.

As a die-hard fan of the "Nightmare on Elm Street" series.

The original released in 1984~

Michael Bay is the Director- ya know the guy most well known for making movies full of fantastic explosions.

So much about this has me upset, that I can't put together a rational thought at the moment.

Oh, and you want to know the "BEST" part of all this?!?

Mr. Freddy Krueger himself, Robert Englund....

Is NOT, I repeat NOT going to be playing the part of Freddy Krueger.

Stick a fork in me ladies and gentlemen, I'm done.

This movie is set to be released sometime in 2010.

I had not heard of the remaking of Hellraiser and Friday the 13th.

Even if Rob Zombie would produce it, there's still no chance in hell of it being any good. Robert not being Freddy, simply won't work. They've completely ruined the movie and it's not even released yet. I'm so upset I could write a bunch of nasty letters. hah. -_-

I just watched it again the other evening. I'm sure my curiosity will get the better of me and I will watch the new one when it becomes available.

Dawn I am going to repeat myself here. Thanks Dawn. I often wonder if we are running out of plot lines, why all the remakes. Fairly recently in horror there was The Omen and The Amittyville Horror. And this is not the only genre that is seeing a plethora of remakes. I think I saw the original, but am ot into slasher films. Are we running out of imagination? Robert Englund if I am not mistaken said he didnt want to do anymore "Freddy" pictures. Regardless I wish they would find new ideas and quit killing the Originals. I do have to admit I would like to see how they do with todays FX.

This is so wrong. How could there be a Freddy not played by Robert Englund? He is so much of who Freddy is there is no way anyone else could pull it off.
