I just received my california absentee ballot. If you are from CA, what are your thoughts on the issues?

#8 I think that whom other people marry is none of my business. You should be able to marry whomever you want to and get the same benefits and negatives as everyone else.
#2 Even animals that are being raised for food, need to be given a better quality of life. I have been on a Zacky Farms chicken Ranch and it was so sad. They are all crammed into this hanger like thing.
The other hot issue is #7, but I haven't read enough, non biased info about it to decide yet.
This is what I recommend:
President/Vice President: Obama/Biden (of course)
1a. YES Safe, Reliable High-Speed Passenger Train Bond Act
2. YES Treatment of Farm Animals
3. ??? Children’s Hospital Bond Act (great plan, bond measure not well written, cost)
4. NO Waiting Period and Parental Notification Before Termination of Minor’s Pregnancy
5. YES Nonviolent Offenders. Sentencing, Parole and Rehabilitation
6. NO Criminal Penalties and Laws. Public Safety Funding
7. NO Renewable Energy Statute (not well written, all environmental groups against it)
8. NO Elimination of Same-Sex Marriage
9. NO Criminal Justice System. Victims’ Rights. (costs too much, no oversight)
10. NO Bonds. Alternative Fuel Vehicles and Renewable Energy (T. B. Pickens to corner the natural gas market)
11. NO Redistricting (GOP plan)
12. NO Veterans Bond Act (always repaid)
Thanks for voting Dan.
I voted for Prop 2 against the cruelty towards animals... And AGAINST 8 to change the legal definition of marriage and... against 7, I think it was, about the energy bill because the Sierra Club was against it and I figure they KNOW... And I can't remember what else...
I am definitely not voting on prop 5 because it says it restricts judges from punishing parole violators and other offenders.
I am seriously considering a yes prop 7 because it increases the amount of renewable energy companies must provide.
I am definitely voting yes on prop 2.
I'm mostly voting no on just about all bond issues because we are having budget problems in this state and we can't afford it, though I think prop 1A is pretty cool.
And, the rest I don't know.
I'm skipping over one proposition and I won't say which one. I won't vote either way.
