What I've learned about Fragrance today.

What fragrance is composed of is called notes. It has top, mid and base notes.

Top notes are the first impression of the fragrance, and are strong but quickly fade.

Mid notes are when a fragrance intensifies appearing 10-20 minutes after applying and form the body of the fragrance, giving it overall character.

Base notes leave the final scent, notieable after 15 minutes, brings depth as a fragrance starts to fade.

I also learned there are families: Chypre, Woody, Floral, Citrus, Oriental, and Fougere.

The latest Men and Women's Fragrances from Avon are "Unscripted, Patrick Dempsey", and "Bond Girl 007", where every Bond Girl purchase gets you a free movie ticket to Quantum of Solace, the latest James Bond flick out this November.

That was interesting. I am highly allergic to fragrances. They give me asthma, a sore throat, and a stuffed up nose. A few whiffs and I am choking.

I use essential oils, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Musk, others give headaches and sinus problems.
