The Problem With Submitting Albums to Groups

I see a few of my group members are posting their nice new albums to the group.  Now I know I have promised that I'd view and comment on each submission, and not a generic C&P comment either, however, this morning there were close to 2000 submissions awaiting approval :(  Some of these photos go  back to 2006, so I know they are from the member creating an album. 

 The problem of how these photos would be displayed individually, not in an album with an album icon in groups, was discussed during the preview of the new photo publishing features and since there were concerns about having many photos waiting for approval in moderated groups, Gather said they were going to look into a fix for this dilemma. 

So why am I posting this you ask.  Well, in light of the amount of photos being submitted, I cannot possibly rate and comment on all of them.  I know there are many that I have not seen or commented from the past.  The good part is, after I accept the photos they fall into chronological order on the photos page, so I can easily find the photos that are new for the day and rate and comment on these.  The down side is that a few photos that do not belong in the group may fall through.  Also I cannot look through over 700 pages of photos for the photos that were not just submitted to Gather today, so those "new" photos will not be getting a rating or comment  because the fall into the pages chronologically.  I just wanted to bring this to your attention so you know why you do not see a comment from me on all the photos you may have submitted to the group since the upgrade.  I do appreciate each and every submission and want to let you all know what is happening. 

This does not effect posts or videos, just photos.  If I miss one of your recent photos, again I apologize, a few may be missed during this heavy influx of submissions.  I have added NO ALBUMS to the group's description for now, but if the album is recent photos only that will be fine.  I will not be submitting any of my albums to groups until there is a change, to be fair to other group owners.  I would like to suggest to all of you that if your album is specific to one theme, such as flowers, vacation place, children, etc., do a photo essay and add a link to your photo album which contains more photos on the subject so people can go look at the rest of the photos not included in the photo essay.  This will get the word out that you have a photo album on the subject.

Also, I just wanted to be able to submit this to the members of my group, but I see it has to go to all my connections also since the group is not private.  I again apologize to my connections that are not members of the group.  However, I'd love it if you'd join ;)

In closing, thanks to all 432 group members who contribute such wonderful photos, essays, articles and videos.  I enjoy each and every one of them.
