I agree Julie - how many "hockey moms" have the money to shop where they did for her clothes? Actions speak louder than words - if she wants to talk the talk she should learn how to walk the walk
This one clothing expenditure for her exceeds what I would spend in more than one lifetime on clothing. If she is supposed to look like she is "in touch" with the American people, lets consider the FACT in the previous sentance as a measure of truth.
wow thats rediculous. i feel bad if i spend $150 on clothes for myself (and not just one or 2 things either)...i couldnt imagine spending that much on clothes, even if i had the money.
Jessica, we can't imagine it because we don't have that much money. I am sure a $800 to $1000 suit is outrageous to some people. To me, it's perfectly ok. Everything is relative. $150,000 wardrobe, is nothing to some people, and I don't blame them or envy them. The problem here, is THAT ONE tells us she is a "hockey mom."

Sarah Palin is worth every penny the RNC is paying her. Saturday Night Live should spring for some of her clothing. When she appeared on SNL, the ratings reached a 14 year high.

It's Palin's background that makes her more mainstream America. Just because the RNC is spending money on her clothes doesn't mean she didn't have to work hard to become governor. This is a strange topic to be discussing this close to the election when we should be more concerned about the candidates' backgrounds. Not necessarily how much money they (or their party) are spending on clothes.
And to Alan, Obama does claim to come from humble backgrounds. Where did the thrift that taught him go?
I agree with Alan. This is non issue. I am concerned about helath care. In 2000, John McCain told us why we would never get this. He said the Republicans were in the pockets of the Insurance companies and the Democrats were in the pockets of the trial lawyers. Every Decomcratic candidate since FDR and including FDR has had national health care on his platform. We don't have it and this empty suit will not get it for us.
If Obama gets in, we get high taxes and not much else.
Obama took 111 million from Fannie Mae and no one has called him on it. I don't care what the RBC does with its money, but Obama took my money and I want to know what he did with it. Did he need a mortgage? Did he pay it back? Did he buy Michelle clothes?
I know alot of hockey, baseball, and soccer moms that shop at expensive stores....Saks, Bloomingdales, Niemann Marcus etc.... Does anybody say anything about Hillary's $6,000 pants suits??!!
Personally, I can't stand to watch FOX because of this. And Michael, not too many spend $300,00 on one outfit like Cindy McCain did for the convention. Michelle Obama buys most of her clothes off the rack at Macy's.
Carla, Tell me when you've seen a positive story about McCain or Palin on MSNBC, CNN, NBC, CBS. You've obviously don't understand that Fox News is conservative and MSNBC, CNN, NBc, CBS are liberal. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out!
Maybe Sarah is just trying to keep up with the Jones's (McCains) Being on stage with Cindy in her "consignment store" clothing is such a drag. It's hard to play the part with such competition. Wonder if she could use some of Cindy's hand-me-downs.
Michael, I hear the news on those stations that you mention and they report what is going on, not their opinion of it. Fox, on the other hand, says they are "fair and balanced" and couldn't be further from that in actuality.
