Glad to see that someone is keeping the economy going. Information from the Daily Beast
After September 11, President Bush encouraged Americans to go shopping. If that advice applies to our current recession, then Sarah Palin is every bit as patriotic as she claims. Politico reports that the Republican National Committee has spent over $150,000 on its vice presidential nominee's wardrobe since she was picked for the ticket in August. Nearly half of that money was spent on a single shopping spree at a Minneapolis Neiman Marcus in September. Other line items: $5,000 at Bloomingdale’s; $700 at Barney’s; $4,900 at Atelier, a “high-class shopping destination for men” beloved by First Dudes everywhere; and nearly $300 at the baby store Pacifier. The campaign says the clothes will go to charity after the election.
The RNC also spent $4,716.49 on hair and makeup through September after reporting no such costs in August.

Are you ok Mary? You said you were having a rough morning - want to talk about it? {{HUGS}}
Here's a 10, thanks for posting at Up All Nite Café.
When news broke that Gov. Sarah Palin and her family managed to spend $150,000 of other people's money on clothes after joining the McCain ticket, many scratched their heads. Is that legal?
Thanks to a loophole in federal law the answer, experts say, is yes.
Handily, the loophole was codified into law by the landmark campaign finance law passed by her ticket mate, Sen. John McCain.
Meanwhile, I'm sure Barack and Michelle are shopping at the Kmart in downtown Chicago....eating tomato soup from a can. You'd have thought Oprah's Campaign to BUY herself a president would have come with perks....
I get so disgusted with EVERYONE who frivolously spends like that. I mean, how many homeless people could be fed? How many families could be kept from losing their homes due to foreclosures, etc? It's awful.
