A River to Cross

For all those that need a little support.

You stand before a fearsome stream
Appalled by all that menace
Daring you to forget your dream.

You draw back from the raging storm
And those hidden rocks with cruel edges
And slithering creatures with murky forms.

Sometimes you lift your eyes and long
To reach that distant purple goal
And hear that much yearned for song.

Not to be made with conscious effort

Moving dangers from their depths
And piking creatures of the slime.

He'll wave his fist with scant ado
As a warrior would his flaming sword
And turn vile waters into blue.

Now pause and wash your fears away
Let your feet feel the welcome moss
