I'm SCREAMING today . . .

I am soooo screaming right now. . . .

.

If you've read my articles you know about the

problems I've had with my computer and how

after my computer died, I bought a used one.

And then the 1st used one wouldn't work,

and the 2nd used one wouldn't work,

and then finally the 3rd one DID work.

(the used one has a 90 day warranty, so they

just exchanged the computer each time).

.

Each time I'd get the computer home and

get everything reloaded onto it and get my

Favorites and Address Book put back and

get everything set . . . . and then it would stop

working and I'd get to start all over again.

.

This 3rd computer was doing good . . . running so

quietly that I couldn't even tell it was on. . . .

you know, . . . the way it SHOULD run.

And I was very happy 'cause I was very tired

of having to start over with different computers.

.

And then a couple of days ago,

THIS one started making weird noises.

.

Weird, clicking, grinding, horrible noises

that keep getting louder and more frequent.

.

Today it's making a really loud grinding noise

and I'm SCREAMING!!!!!!!

.

Looks like it's going to mean unplugging it all

and lugging it back to the computer store and

starting all over again.

.

I'm sooo tired of this!!!

Oh wow... this was bought at a store? I'd write the BBB and tell them you had to bring a product back three times - even though they are replacing it, you should not have to return something three times before it works for you. That is bad customer service and quality control. Good luck, and here are some {{HUGS}} for you!

Dont stress out today. Remember it is update day. Even if they say tonight it starts acting up before hand. Yesterday, I was kicking mine because I had just paid throught the nose to have it repaired. But it was the internet provider I was with. Everyone else was having problems too. We have a lot of friends on the same provider.

There is no way that I will ever buy another used computer. NEVER! I have been there and done that and I will never do it again.

Yeah, the grinding, whirling, etc is probably the hard drive about to die forever!

I'm sorry to hear about your computer troubles. The only used computers I had were my moms old macintosh and one of the original laptops.

I wouldn't be dealing with that store any more, and I agree with the suggestion of reporting this to the BBB. There is no reason why three in a row should have failed you.

Haul it out back and set it on fire! Seeing the object of my frustration burn always makes me feel better. :)

Ugh! That does NOT sound fun! I hope it gets sorted out! I wonder what is making the grinding noise... a fan maybe?

DOES THE STORE HAVE A SERVICE TECH THAT CAN COME TO THE HOUSE TO LOOK AT IT..MAYBE IT IS SOMETHING THEY CAN FIX AT YOUR HOME.

Sorry to hear of your troubles....jsut a word of advice...generally when people get rid of computers it is because something is wrong with them. Yes i know a few people will upgrade when nothing is wrong with their old one but most of us can not afford to do that so we keep them until they break and then if they are sold, they halfway repair them and sell them again.

My goodness... My computer issues seem small compared to what you have been through. I don't know...I think that I would be looking for a new computer store. Walmart has brand new ones starting around $500. It may be worth the price, instead of going through the headaches you have experienced.

Wish I was near you. I sell and repair computers, etc. for a living. Sounds like that place is a rip off.
