How is he not merely stating the obvious? Fixxed Noise is nothing but a 24/7 propaganda network for the GOP, that has been blasting the airwaves with evisceral hatred for Obama, ever since he was effectively awarded the nomination...well, actually long before that as well.
I played a gig on Sat. night where I got a stunning showing of just how vile and insidious the bombardment is by Fixxed. I played in a sports bar, but, for some unholy reason, while every other TV in the place was tuned to one sport or another, the one screen that faced the stage was tuned to Fixxed Noise.
Everytime I glanced up, I'd catch a glimpse of the propaganda broadcast, and every time I'd read the ticker at the bottom of the screen, it would be a regurgitation of one of the numerous bullshit rightwing hate screeds directed at Obama...the bullshit about Ayers, the bullshit about Rev. Wright, the bullshit about his so-called ties to ACORN, etc.
Contrast this 24/7 bombardment of rightwing bullshit with what you get elsewhere. While you definitely see and hear the same rightwing hatred and irrational screechings on other news networks, you aren't subjected to a 24/7 bombardment of that vile propaganda.
Anyone who doesn't believe that constant media bombardment, negative or positive, has no effect on society, is truly living in a bubble world.
What would be the effect of having a network broadcast 24/7 negative stories about McBush? What if, every single day, we heard about his connections to corrupt lobbyists, his connections to one of the worst political scandals in US history, his connections to domestic terrorist G. Gordon Liddy (reichwing hero, no less), the vile things that he says to his own wife, his own connections to ACORN, his constant lies and flip flops, his alleged extramarital affairs, etc? The difference being, of course, that those stories are actually TRUE, and don't have to be made up by a partisan rightwing propaganda arm.
As I first suggested two years ago, Barack Obama will become the 44th President of the United States and I am ecstatic. It's time, it's my time, it's our time. Not to delve too deep philosophically here, but heed my words: "I cannot carry the world on my shoulders, but on my shoulders, it is my world that must carry me."
Apparently no one commenting here actually saw or heard Obama saying this. It was tongue-in-cheek, a humorous aside that everyone recognized to be a joke.
All this really shows is how desperate the McCainiacks are to find something, anything, to pin on Obama. "Thin skin" is a word that comes easily to mind here.
But, of course, if you wish to make fun of Obama go ahead. One of his endearing traits is the ability to let this kind of nonsense slide off his back like water on a duck.
