Waking up early in the crisp Autumn air that snaps the senses into "this is what feeling alive" is all about in the southern region of Missouri.
Sensing the magic of friendship as it cuts through the heavy dewpoint, morning breaking with the smell of campfires warming up for coffee and a farmers sized breakfast.

Watching one's soul soar higher than the eagles that blessed our gathering with a fly by....
Recalling our past, renews our future, and reminds us of the bounty that still remains for those who choose to keep it alive and nourish it!

Give and take. Teach and learn. Live and re-live. Freedom of choice and choosing wisely.

As the earth readies itself to rest, we celebrated those who brought us here, and for me it attached a new meaning to the words" Find the cost of freedom buried in the ground, Mother Earth is calling you, lay your body down."( CSN&Y)
This event occurs every October just outside of Ava, Missouri. It is free and it is family friendly.
The event sponsored by Dale and Betty Thompson is a must see if you live anywhere near Missouri.

And what a lovely group of gentle people to spend time with.
Enjoy it--year after year.
Blessings on your nurturing head, and green thumbs.

I love these kind of events and I really appreciate your sharing pictures from it.
I have often thought I would enjoy living as simply and as close to the Earth as the Pioneers did.
Thanks.
May God bless.
