Another Reason To Pray About The Elections

I have never found Howard Stern's show appealing. To me, it's much like the Jerry Springer show. I don't have much in common with the guests or the show hosts.
My son, however, enjoys the Howard Stern show and told me about this experiement that the show did about the elections. Have you heard about it? Today, I received the URL to a clip of the show from two of my internet friends.
The Stern show wanted to find out if people are voting for Obama entirely because of race. One of the guys from the show went out on the streets of Harlem and started asking questions. He attributed McCain's political stands, and even his VP candidate, Governor Palin, to Obama's campaign. And he attributed Obama's stand to the McCain platform.
The people who were interviewed didn't know the difference. Even when told that Obama wants to stay in the war, doesn't believe in abortion or stem cell research and has Governor Palin as his VP running mate, these people were still for Obama.
Makes you wonder. I know we cannot require anyone to have an IQ test before voting anymore, but shouldn't they be required to know SOMETHING about the person for whom they vote? Then again...my grandmother used to vote for the man with the best mouth. She said that any man (of course back then there were no women running) with a thin upper lip was not to be trusted.

Here's a clip of the show: Clip from Howard Stern Show October 17, 2008 (Don't worry. There are no cuss words or inappropriate language in the clip.)

Take care.
On the racial note, I think voting for someone just because of their race is just as bad as voting against them just because of their race. This isn't about race, it is about finding the best person for the job.
Thanks for this post, by the way.
Clearly. we need a better education in the inner city so everyone can be as clear thinking as Republicans who are credulous enough to take Fox News as "fair and balanced."
The people in Harlem may not know(and I bet he had to go through a lot of people to get the result he wanted)what Obama stands for, but a lot of us educated people do. And we like it better than what McCain and Palin stand for.

Posted one of those videos, too. Just being "fair and balanced".
