That's the problem, right there. Instead of making a judgment based on analysis of the facts, conditions and ramifications of proposed policy, way too many Americans get caught up in simplistic notions of "socialism" or "redistribution of wealth" without understanding what those things mean relative to our system and the proposed plans of the candidates. Anything the opposing candidate says about uses for tax money is labeled "socialism" and carries the connotation of evil communism. We would do well to stop swallowing every manipulative slogan that comes down the pike and think for ourselves; think about what's best for ourselves, friends and families, rather than what the Republican or Democratic party has in mind.
