When political candidates for top office have to dredge up votes exploiting ignorance and bigotry it's a sad commentary on integrity.

The truth is that despite Obama's claim that William ayers was just some guy in his neiborhood, it turns out that they had a close relationship for several years.

Very true Don, their are a few real conservative republicans but they are few and far between. The republican neocon real goal is to create more government, by borrowing and putting us in record debt. They also are for government takeover and dictatorship on the level of Hitler. They are no more christian than my cat and their real god is the dollar sign. Most supporters of Bush/McCain adhere to strict party lines no matter how wrong it is or even the treason that Bush and his gang are guilty of.

If Ayers is the criminal you say he is Dan why is he allowed to teach and shouldn't he be in prison?

This Ayers thing is so phony its getting sour. You just got a glimpse of McCain and his support for a fanatical preacher which the law says has no right to be making political statements, or didn't you bother to even look at it? This is as fanatical and anti American as you can get. The only enemies of America at this time are the criminal war mongers that murder our own youth in blood for oil wars that they reap huge profits on.

That this Ayers is the best diversion they can come up with, says a lot about the vacant McCain campaign. I mean seriously, does anyone really think Obama's a terrorist?

I don't know if I'm more disappointed with some of these comments, or the video itself.

Honestly, it's not the religion that makes the terrorist...it's the fear of diversity and brainwashing passed down through generations that is the problem. This McCain-Palin campaign is terrorist, scaring people into thinking that Obama is planning some hostile takeover because he attended a Muslim school for 2 years of his life until age 10. He has not been documented once observing Muslim holidays or even attending a Mosque.

What IS well-documented is this:

-McCain and Palin plan to bring THEIR very conservative religious agenda into the White House. What happened to the separation of church and state? Why is it only ok to bring such an agenda when it's Christian? Is our country not filled with diversity? For the record, I am saying this as a Christian. If it's not right for other religions to ingrain their beliefs on mine, and I feel that goes both ways.

-McCain and Palin are running a terrorist campaign. The irony here is that they are using terrorist tactics to fight a "terrorist" candidate? The truth is they watch their sinking ship every time they see the electoral college map. I'm sure the Minnesota population wasn't pleased that viral telephone campaign his camp he launched. I'm waiting for McCain to tell Obama to meet him in the schoolyard at 3:00.

-The only agenda McCain and Palin seem to speak of is smearing Obama. We're in a financial crisis here, they should be sticking to the issues. Their has been mudslinging all around for both campaigns, but the McCain-Palin campaign has launched the most negative ad campaign I've seen in my entire life. If they have a good strategy for helping right this country I'm missing it. I fail to see their agenda through their viral smear campaigns and religious toutings.

This election has gotten so out of hand with accusations and hate mongering, it's awful. A country that is built on the diversity of it's people is ready to implode upon itself because of this radical mentality being perpetuated into the mainstream. This is what turns me off about candidates. If it were in reverse and Obama was launching the hate campaigns, I would be equally turned off. I vote for candidates, not parties. I would have voted for the Y2K McCain. This one makes me pause.

It is a reasonably good political tactic, the fact that so many of the left are flailing about calling foul is a good indicator that it is probably having some effect. After all nobody likes terrorists, even domestic terrorists and since Obama made such efforts to try distance himself from Ayers and deny any relationship, that to is indicative that the Obama Campagin knew it could be damaging.
I read that the polls have tightened back up.

Nobody is going to pay any attention to this hype when the get to the voting booth.

I don't really care if Ayers was Obama's best friend. He's a college professor and contributing member of society. The truth is that they weren't close. McCain has very close associates who are convicted felons(G. Gordon Liddy), mob members(Tony Bonanno), lobbyists for Saddam Hussein(Timmons who is a top staffer in McCain's campaign), as well as real peaches like Charles Keating and Jack Abramoff. He's also been endorsed by radical pastors Hagee, Dobson, and Parsely(only distancing himself from his solicited endorsements when it became politically expedient to do so), so that if you want guillt by association, McCain's way more guilty than Obama could ever hope to be.

Ayers is allowed to teach, big deal.... what does this prove? If this story is made up, then why, is it everywhere on the news? Ayers admitted that he didnt do enough in those days... If he admitted to doing this, how is it made up.. Some of you libs, are just warped.... Most professors are libs... Ayers is about as much American as Timothy McVey...
And where do some of you all get off saying that McCain and Palin are going to bring their right wing religion to the White House?? Arent, they allowed to go to church and to worship as they see fit ... Afterall, Obama worshipped for over 20 years with a racist... Those of you who support Obama are sorry excuses for Americans.....you have so much hatred for Bush for many different reasons... But yet Colin Powell ( who now endorses Bammy) has come over to your way of thinking(or it could be because he wants a nice cushy job and this is why, he changed over) but he is the one who helped get us into war with Iraq but now wants to blame McCain for this..... I just hate when people start to rant and start saying insulting things against a group of people based on whether they are liberal or conservative (as ranted above). To say that anyone is "a sorry excuse for an American" because they have the freedom to choose who they want to vote for is a sad commentary on how far this election has gone to bring out the worst in some people.
