Hi Dan. I"m about to go hiking in a preserve that's only open on weekends. I work Saturday and I used to work Sundays, so I haven't really had too many opportunities to go there. I've only been there once. I want to do it before the next Santa Ana because this area is prone to fires. Today is a cool day, though.
I hardly ever have problems with snakes. In the place I'm going to today, I have to worry about cattle. They're right on the trail. Last time I was there, they just moved away as I passed. But, cattle are moody and next time they might not move.
I ended up going out to a cider mill yesterday with my cousin. Afterwards, we headed back to listen to some old records and then head over to another cousin's house to watch sports.
It's just north of LA, Darlene. Simply, there was an old mining area out there and the bridge was built in 1936. Storms and earthquakes took changed the area a lot. Let me look for a link. It's crazy, you'll hike for about 5 miles and then come upon a bridge large enough to handle trucks that literally comes out of no where and goes into a cliff:
It is so cold here that I didn't want to get out of the bed. But the dog had to go out and wouldn't stop barking. Son down the stairs I came, let her out and onto gather.
Hi everyone, I just got up after a 9 hour sleep. Sun is out but temp is 46. That is 10 degrees better than yesterday at this time. I have choir rehearsal over the noon hour, then walk at the mall with my GF then home for an app't with my financial advisor.
I guess it has warmed up to 38. Today has to be a chores day for me. I have a lot of laundry and I have to break out the ironing board and iron some shirts.
Ariel, I would go nuts if I had to walk a dog when I didn't want to. This dog goes in and out all day chasing squirrels and other things. I couldn't live without a fenced in yard.
I hope you all are having a good Sunday morning! It was cold here, about 30 degrees this morning. Turn the heat on in the house for the first, was trying to hold out until Nov. 1.
Sandra I had to break down and turn on the heat yesterday. It warmed it up to 70 where I keep it set and didn't have to run the rest of the day. It did come on this morning though.

Have you ever hiked the Bridge to nowhere up in Azusa National Forest?
Well Lena, we have had one in our front yard in CA.
Bridge To Nowhere.
Aww, I hear you Carol. It is so cold here as well.
Darlene I hear they have been having fires in the San Bernardino area.
And warm coffeecake.
