I love my PDA. It has no BSODs and no EULAs. It has handwriting recognition software - me. If I lose it, a new stylus costs me fifty cents from the corner store.
The kids snicker at me, while waiting to charge their gameboys.
I smile back, and doodle.
Whatever.

Perhaps some explanations are in order here...
PDA = Personal Digital assistant, those little palm-like devices busy and forgetful executives carry around with them, when they can't carry their secretaries.
BSOD = Blue Screen Of Death, something every user of Micro$oft product has encountered at one time or another.
EULA = End User License Agreement, that novella sized legal-type thingy everybody scrolls past in order to load up their (ahem) totally non-pirated software.
While things like Gather - when they work properly, which it certainly isn't at the moment - are a boon for guys like us, I miss the old ways sometimes...
Greg, I carry a notebook with me as well, to jot down ideas. Aren't we just so yesterday?
Damn straight Mary. I haven't got the patience for electricity sometimes.
Always William. The old things have proven themselves.
Thank you Sheila.
