My husband needed to go to the Goodwill store today to try to find a 'cheap' suit for tonight, they don't really exist, and he found one that would have worked but it was a lot more than he wanted to pay
Goodwill Store 1, got some t-shirts for the boys, and Dave got a couple shirts, and some books for the kids, reading books, always hard to find reading books, but the bulk was spent on clothes, much needed since they go through shirts and t-shirts like crazy, my youngest a Nascar fan, got some great Nascar t-shirts, 3 for 5.00 or 2.00 a piece is a really good deal.
Onto store number 2, we went looking for a suit there, but the first thing we saw were 8x10 frames metal frames for 2.42 and each one of those was half price, so it was 1.21 per frame, we bought almost all they had (24) of them and left 3 that were not in the boxes, I've been looking for something cheap so I can sell photos in without driving the cost of the print up this will do nicely, they are metal frames, not a perfect silver but it will also afford safety to the photo if I ship it.
And we found a DVD game for my son for Christmas, I had to borrow my daughters 10.00 we forgot to add tax to our guess but I gave her cash and 10.00 in change when we got home, so she's happy she has 10.00 and in fact I gave her an extra dollor for letting us use her money for an hour that made her happy and as we get dollars I will give them to her and she will swap the change back with me. (she likes that idea)
We are trying to teach her how to save her money as there was a lot she wanted to buy, but its going to come down to how bad does she want a Nintendo DS system, and to get one used would be 70 to 90 dollars, depending on where she goes.
but after 3 to 4 hours out my feet were giving out, my husband wanted to try another store, and I just couldn'thandle it, so he brought me and the kids home and now we are home for the night and he's got a few hours before he has to go to his dinner.

I wish we did. You did find some good finds

We also have a few other organizations in town that have thrift stores that items are in better shape and price range for the quality of the items. American Cancer Society has a Discovery Store, Salvation Army has a thrift store, Assistance League has a great clothing store, and the local hospice has a store, too.

I wish Goodwill was well priced where I am - often a dress is $15 and a coat $30. Where's the thrift?
