This week at Rainbow Connections, we've seen Scarlet in all its glory...

Sometimes stunning...

Always striking...

Scarlet can be cute...

And colorful...

Yet in some circles, Scarlet has a deeper meaning...

Yes, Scarlet is bold...

Brilliant...

And beautiful -- no matter where you see it.

Scarlet can be found in unexpected places...

Scarlet can be seen right where you expect it.

Scarlet can be fun...

Scarlet can be frivolous...

The icing on nature's cake...

Or the glaze on a pie...

Scarlet comes in a blaze...

And ends in a flury...

Sheila, the salad is made with edible flowers - nasturtiums, which have a peppery taste, and violas or johnny-jump-ups as we called them, which have little or no flavor but add great color. Pansies are edible, too.
