Puffs of Dragon Smoke

When once the world was flat
Like a pancake I suppose
Steadily searching for the edge
With maybe known cause for concern
As pounded in fables, locked and remain
Like a friendship ables us to retain
Moments and snapshots time has churned
As supper bell calls out nighttime returns

In mist of castle dreams
With full tank on life's highway
Where dragons played in singsong
On an unrefined, unfinished youth
Keeping secret places, glimmered truths
Orbiting round and round terra firma
With still slight belief, the edge grew

Rebellion owed rebellion
Some things never explained
Like satisfaction in frozen ground
Bizarre fading fads speed dialed down
Entrapping a few icons, for daydreams dance
With song's melody casting newest trance

Plastic comes in half Windsor knot
Solid or striped shirts to be bought
"May I help you." Trust me, I wear a tie
With memorized directions by rote
Sections of the sky played each note

Educated breaths of knowledge
Watch out world for Silver Tongue Sly
But stability, tapping the shoulder
Wants to settle down under blue skies

Dreams put in hiatus
Candy canes left in cellophane
Rest stop ahead on this highway

Something old something new
So many screwy things to do

And puffs of dragon smoke light the sky
