Baby Mason Watch 08: He's Finally Here!

I just got off the phone with my mom, then my sister, then my mom again, then my brother.

Mason was born at 1:39pm, EST. He is 19 1/2 inches long, and weighs 6 pounds, 13 ounces.

He's breathing on his own, and after an initial exam, appears healthy enough that he will bypass nicu, and be put in the regular nursery with the other full term babies. They anticipate being able to come home on Sunday, though that could change if anything else happens or pops up.

Mason was due on November 11th, so he's just shy of 4 weeks early.

I haven't seen a picture yet, but have been assured that he has long fingers and hair. And my phone just rang with a text message that's downloading, so I think I have  a picture!

Thank you everyone for keeping Angie, Ken, and Mason in your thoughts! I can't wait to go and see him on Monday.

That's a great news!!!! I bet they had his due date wrong and he's not really that early...he is bigger than BOTH of my kids were... That's great, because he'll get to go home on time and not be considered a premie (under 6 lbs)
