So I finally joined after hearing the great reviews of the site but now I have questions!

How do you earn points?

Are you only allowed 100 points a day?

How long does it take to earn a giftcard to cash out?

Do the games get you points? Or are they just entries into the sweeps?

Is there anything else I need to know about this site?

Well, I'm pretty new there myself. I joined a few days ago. But I did get a bonus 100 spotwinner cash points yesterday. Evidently you can get more points by challenging your friends to the puzzles and referrals. I figure I will wait and get use to it before I start doing any of that though.

so basically do the games and ads and that it but how do you get those points to cash out? How do you know if you won anything? how long does it take to win?

You earn 100 points a day by watching ads.
As Lynn said, you get points for referrals. Spotwinner uses a pyramid system where you get points based on the activity of your referrals.

After you have watched the ads, do the ad quiz, prediction game and the puzzles. Look at the lower right of your screen for the icons for these games.
By playing these games, you get entries in the daily drawings. You can win points in the drawings.

I have won many times in the drawings, getting 100, 250 or 1000 points each time.
You can redeem points for gift cards. Look on the lower left of your screen, select the link labeled 'My Spot Cash" Gift cards start at 5000 points.

Its not a fast way to earn gift cards, but its not very time consuming, and I like the gift card choices.
I spend about 10 minutes a day on the site viewing the ads and playing the games.

I also suggest getting the "widget" as you get more daily entries for watching the ads. To get that, go to the site, make sure you are LOGGED OUT, and look on the bottom right of teh screen and you'll see where it talks about getting the widget. I guess you can put it on facebook, myspace, etc. I don't use any of those so I just dd the email one and copied the link and keep it in my inbox to do daily. I'm excited since I just won the Nintendo DS from there!

just the 100 pts a day unless you get lucky and when points while watching the ads or in the contest...or luckier yet and win a prize with your entries. I believe it takes 13,000 pts to cash out? I've won 1,000 pts twice in contests and 250 pts twice while watching ads and 100 pts twice while watching ads so that is sure jumping my points up.

I was glad you asked since I'm missing something. I have dial up so watching each video takes me 6 min. It must take others about 30 seconds because people keep saying they watch the ads, play the games and only spend 15 min a day there.
Several people in my friends list have won multiple great prizes there. So I go back every couple of weeks.
