What all can you say to describe a person who has influenced your life so much? How can you thank a person who has loved unconditionally, provided comfort when needed, and given so unselfishly? What can you say to make others understand the patience and guidance, understanding and love this person demonstrates?

My stepmother (though I hate the use of "step"), Dee, is such a person. Her and my father were married over 20 years ago (see Unconditional Love). In that time, she has given so much of herself and she has never treated us once as if we were "step" children. We have always been treated as if we were her children. And we are very fortunate to have Dee in our lives.

So for Dee's birthday on the 21st, I would like her to know just how much I appreciate her being a part of our lives and how much I thank her for being a mom and friend.
