I do feel guilty sometimes when I am knee deep in laundry, scrubbing crayon, toothpaste, marker, and some foreign substance off the wall, floor, clothing, wherever. But about the fourteenth diaper change, bottom wipe, or "Mom can you get me....." My guilt flies right out the window.
I needed some adult interaction, my youngest suffers from allergy induced asthma so taking him out in this time of the year is avoided at all costs. My house is in no shape to have anyone over either. So I turn to my last recourse, finding some other mother online desperate to have an adult conversation about something other than the kids!
I found some excellent groups, but then I also found out that many of them work from home!
Why can't I do that, then I don't have to listen to my husband's famous comment "I work all day so I can come home and just relax". I quickly found out that while there are many genuine jobs for stay at home moms, many are very low paying, involve hours of phone sales work, or are just scams. I wasn't about to invest hundreds of dollars to sell magazines, insurance, travel, or some other hard to sell products. in fact I didn't want to sell anything!
It was then that I had the idea to compile a list of all the reputable work at home companies and I posted them all on my website http://realmomslife.com
