He says he is not Bush. Obama says I can't tell the difference. Me neither.

Sure does not look like Bush. That's not what we are talking about here. We don't care about your looks. We only care about your policies. They sound like Bush's. You said, yourself, that you support him 90% of the time. Your words senators, captured in this video.

Oh yeah. Great visuals McCain. You looked great in the debate. Eye rolling, grimaces. Priceless!

I thought McCain sounded crazy when Obama would CORRECT McCain (no I don't tax like that - no my health care plan is not like that - no I don't hang with terrorists - no, I DO support Charter Schools) and then McCain would respond as if he wasn't responding, but just sticking to and repeating his first false story no matter what Obama had just said.

I found it interesting that McCain played the victim card in regards to what Sen. Lewis said about McCain's campaign. While Sen. Lewis could have worded it a bit differently I do believe that many understood the point of his comment.

He whined about not raising enough money ("we are outspent"). He played victim and Obama had a great line: (paraphrase) - America does not care about your hurt feelings. That was great.

I'm with Freud on this, Cindy: we all make decisions based on extra-rational considerations, different for every individual, then use our brains to rationalize those decisions. I think any election process provides a great lab to verify that statement!

Obama has the money advantage because he has reached out to, earned the hearts of, impressed, given hope to - MILLIONS of people who believe he cares about and understands those who can only send a few dollars. Obama has the money advantage because he makes himself available to HUGE crowds without screening them first, without charging them for the privilege of hearing him speak. Obama has the money advantage because MILLIONS of people know that a donation to his campaign is a great investment in their future.

And maybe because the Democrats really are not all on welfare or living in the streets like crazy people assume just because they care about others who are?

And sometimes those extra-rational considerations include things like being controlled by parents or spouses or churches, with no rationalization or thought involved at all.

Actually, Jose, Democrats do care about unborn "children" enough to push for decent medical care for the pregnant mothers and other measures that help them bring healthy fetuses to term. That, in my opinion, is far better than the ultra-conservatives who care only about embryos but vote against any measure (crying, "socialism!") that will help them thrive and lead decent, productive lives. If "pro-lifers" worked with others to create conditions which would allow women to bring fetuses to term instead of trying to have government bureaucrats make their most intimate decisions for them we would drop the abortion rate and all feel good about ourselves. Don't kid yourself: no one, including NARAL, is "pro-abortion," McCain's nonsensical sound bytes notwithstanding.

People who claim to be pro-life are generally for war, torture, and the death penalty, and against the programs that might make a difference in the lives of children and on the decicions of mothers, so how pro-life are they reall? Apparently life ends at birth. And you can't really support Bush or McCain and be pro-life.
