Why do you Gather?

interesting articles, great pictures, good people....and yes, the points are nice too!!

I like the articles. (But will be glad when the election is over..lol) I have met some wonderful people! I love the "live chats". I have found tons of good looking recipes, freebies, sweeps to enter etc. Just a great site!

Because I'm like everyone else on gather, if I had something better to do, I would, but right now I don't and gather is entertaining, please notice that I am NOT watching the debates (ah).

I am an artist (mostly a dancer, but also a writer and also work with several other visual and performing mediums as well), and I find this is the best place to share your work and get helpful feedback from other members, and it is also a great way to develop an audience as an artist... and when you're an independent artist like I am and don't get guaranteed opportunities to display your work and your efforts, this is a great place to do that as far as the internet is concerned. Of course, the points have the potential to make you a wee bit richer at the end of the day - a real plus for a starving artist but that is really just the icing on the cake.

I get to meet people with my same interests and aspirations, and really feel like I am a part of a community of people rather than other networking sites like MySpace and Facebook which seem to be geared more toward social graces where people share relatively unimportant details of their lives - most people tend to socialize and show off more than they engage in any serious attempts to succeed in their endeavors, so I like Gather better for that as well and it is why I use it so much more.

Wow! You people are so deep - I'm so shallow. But I do like gather.

the word games are fun,I like the freebie postings,articles about peoples life are nice too.

Good Night Comments And Graphics

It's fun.

I was away for a long time, but recently found out that they're paying by Paypal here now. So, I decided to try it again. I didn't think I would get hooked like I am now. I found a new way to connect with other photographers and artists that I didn't think I could get when I was here before.

I very much enjoy gather and have spent more and more time at Gather. I ama beginner writer. I joined gather to get help with my writing. Al I have had so much encouragement in my writing. This has inspired me to keep on writing.Along the way I have had the benefit of developing friendships with some incredibly talented and trul specil people. the points are a nice addition but if the points were removed I would still be active in Gather. Thank you all my Gather friends.

I am here for the points, points, points. I also like to see the new photos too and leave comments to good posts too.
