Autumn at Mantoon Pond

Finally I got out to the pond, oh the fresh air and the sounds, sights and smells of nature.  It was Sunday and I was itching to be out. I love the fall the air smells crisp and the colors are beautiful. Often there are large vee fornations of geese hanking as they fly pass. Always there is the beauty.

And fishing. Electric motors only on Matoon.

It is amazing how pretty a small place can be.

I love this pond.

The waters reflection on a calm day.

The trees fall colors.

Even the textures and colors of the dying irises  are pleasing to me.

I will always come here often.

Is this near where you live? I wish I lived close to a body of water, close enough to walk would be nice. This looks almost big enough to be a lake instead of a pond. The pictures are great!
