The night before last, the house was still a mess form having my two grandsons, and I had to go to the bathroom. So , I put on my clogs, so I would not step on a toy. Instead, I tripped over my own two feet! I fell hard! My husband was at work, he works the graveyard shift. I could barely get up. When he got home, we went to E.R. I knew something was broke , as I have had many broken bones. I broke my right ankle again, the one with pins already in. I have an aircast on for now. I told the E.R. Dr. not to bother sending me home on crutches, I have plnty in the garage, after the swelling goes down, I have to have surgury, AGAIN. We have no medical insurance. I would have rather stepped on a toy! I am not good at crutches, so I am hopping around, don't need another broken bone. I am getting caught up on Gather now, please bare with me.

We are sending you prayers your way!!!
Check at the hospital if they have a hardship plan! I did and I received two months of service at no cost. Which was good since I needed a MRI. Check also with your state maybe there is something they can help you with since this was an accident/real emergency ! You might qualify for some type of program.
My mother had broken her foot but it was while riding her bike in the winter. She has pins in her foot. To this day I hate when she goes some where by herself.
I have the same problem with always tripping over my own feet too. I hate crutches too I had several surgeries on feet, knee and back. I would sugest a walker with the seat,4 wheels, and brakes they come in handy.

Try looking them up I understand that they run clinics and provide free and low cost health care around the country based on ability to pay.
I know what you are going through. I broke my right ankle, just by stepping in a gopher hole....I was in crutches for 4 weeks....not good, as I lived in an apartment, on the third floor at the time
wishing that everything turns out okay for ya
Prayers being sent
Many hugs too
You just have to be more careful.......
I'm sorry that you broke your ankle again.........
those clogs are very dangerous
don't you know that by now ? ? ?
