McCain's own ACORN connection

This photo was taken in March 2006. Back then, McCain liked ACORN. That's right, about two years ago, ACORN was not so bad.

Bertha Lewis, Acorn's chief organizer, said in a statement that came with the photo, "It has deeply saddened us to see Senator McCain abandon his historic support for ACORN and our efforts to support the goals of low-income Americans."

"We are sure that the extremists he is trying to get into a froth will be even more excited to learn that John McCain stood shoulder to shoulder with ACORN, at an ACORN co-sponsored event, to promote immigration reform," she said.

Republicans, since their conventions, have tried to turn "community organizer" into a dirty word. The implication there, is inner city, black, poor people = community organizing. Since Obama was a community organizer at age 22, there you have the connection.

Little they knew, McCain did not vet McCain. Since he does not remember much, he could not recall he went there and said to ACORN 'You are what makes America Special' in the video below.
