Autumn Beauty in Michigan - Photoessay

The autumn colors are spreading quickly.  Each day brings a whole new palette of color, compliments of the Master.

Today was sunny and the lake was sparkling.  One fisherman took advantage of the beautiful weather.

I don't know ifhe caught any fish, but there was plenty of beauty to enjoy.

Our oak tree is in full color now:

I walked out to the road to capture more color:

Looks inviting, doesn't it? 

I can never really capture the true beauty of the colors, but I keep trying.

Conan came along as photographer's assistant, but soon got tired and decided to nap in the sunshine.  His fur is a lovely autumn color!

Maybe you should make a book of some of these - if you poke around on Google you will find a number of places that do it - or a poster

I did a smilebox slideshow, but will need to update it. The color spreads and changes daily.

Jan....these are gorgeous! I LOVE fall~unfortunately, I don't get those stunning colors in my parts! I have to rely on my gather friends for the spreading of these images!

This is a reminder of just what an incredible artist God is. The vibrant colors from the water and the trees are amazing. You live in a very beautiful part of the world. This is a great photo essay one that you should enter in to a photo contest.

Most of our leaves are still green around here but we do have spots of bright color. When we get a freeze I think all the colors will come to life. pretty pix.

Jan, I have loved every one of your autumn photo essays. I may be only one of a few, but I actually like ( "love" is a little strong) winter -- when it snows. I hope you'll also dazzle us with your winter essays.

Thank you for sharing the awesome Autumn color!!! Doesn't look like we'll get much color, since we got snow first. A lot of gold, but not much else.

If I remember right nwo should be about Peak color in Michigan, we aren't there yet in Maryland probably another week or 2 but great pictures.
