Hey my friend Atlantis. you're right as far as I very much enjoyed what I learned. &, the first 6 lessons were important to me.
I will still write. But they will be simpler. One or two will be a short series ... the others just a one time truth. As I said above ... some from my children's lessons as they are easily expanded to adults without them having to think hard :)
I do love to write short lessons. It has been my one of the funnest things in my live for 40 years :)

I loved the posts and I think what makes your stuff really great is that you read and comment on the comments. I learned a lot and I've quoted you a few times. In my Monday noght class, I told the women about the Doctor and faith/belief. They loved your example.

Carol, don't feel guilty. It ruins the fun of Gather. I have people I just love and go forever without going to see them. You tend to go to the last ones that comment on your own because you just auto hit their icon & go to their site.
It is fun when you have no returns to do so you can just wander around to friend you haven't see for a long time. Then it starts again because they are all sweet and feel they should return the visit :):) Hahahah You can't win for losing ... or you can't lose for winning. I'm not sure how to say it.

I didn't know you were teaching from Romans. It's been such along time since i've been to the gather site. I'm far behind. Please e-mail the lessons. I would love to study the book of Romans with someone who loves to teach. Teaching is a gift of the Holy spirit. Stir up the gift I say.

Thanks Andrea ... 3 more days of holpeless hope :):) Not really. There are so many people praying that I know God will allow the man of his choice to man the office. As strongly as I feel about the need for conservative judges & the fear that taxing the businesses will take more job overseas ... I trust God more. Maybe I'm wrong on what I think; or maybe I'm right and God, in His love for us, thinks we need to slide down hill.

This was a great way of showing this lesson Glome. I really enjoyed this!

This Planet is a very interesting place. During the reign of Augustus the peasants were living under oppression from Rome. Then John the Baptist came, but I wonder why he did not preach salvation. Then Jesus (this was a very common name like John) came and brought a message that appealed to the peasants who were not as materialistic and power hungry as the Romans. He brought a message of hope and love. Since then not much as changed. Look around the planet and if you are not blind you may begin to wonder why more people are not peasant like and follow Jesus. I wonder if I will see him when he comes back. I may be on Mars, or some other planet, or just orbiting the earth on a space station. I know you will all disagree and will begin to have mass prayer meetings for people like me. I also wonder why Paul chose to go the Greece which is quite a distance, instead of sailing down the Nile to Nubia which was closer. Perhaps Dubai and Africa would be a second holy land today, and be less troublesome. Thank you.

Hi Bazil ... you've put a lot of thought into this.
I'm wondering if there is a couple of thigs you might have misunderstood. Or, mayb we just happen to disagree.
I understand your point on John the Baptist. But remember the message he brought. He didn't come to the gentiles. He came to the Jews to announce the Messiah had come to bring the kingdom of heaven. He had come to prepare the way of the King. The Jews rejected Christ as king as a nation. (Although many individual Jews did accept who He was.)
Even Jesus preached primarily to the Jews. He was offering Himself as Messiah to the Jews. Although He still showed love to the gentiles, such as the woman at the well. But, when she mentioned what the Samarians believed, Jesus told her John4:22 "You worship that which you do not know; we worship that which we know, for salvation is from the Jews." BUT he then gives her a hint of the gospel that is to be preached when the Jews reject Him. He continues "But an hour is coming and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

So the apostles continueto announce the Messiah has come clear up until they crucify Him.
The apostles really didn't understand the change in plan until the Holy Spirit filled them after Jesus was gone. (Well, it was always God's plan but He hadn't revealed it to them yet.)

I believe you are right about the peasants. I believe it is true today. I don't hate the rich like so many seem to. We're all wanting as much as we can get ... their circumstances just allowed them to get it. Hopefully the good and generous will help others whether they are poor or rich :)

Hey! What's wrong with going to mars? :) You've hit on my favorite subject. Quantum physics from particle theory to Black holes. Yaaa for us if we get to explore the furtherest regions!!

As far as Paul, I think the Spirit pretty much led him to certain people and cities. At least that's what Paul thought. If I was making up the plans I would have done it much differently myself :) But ... I guess I'll let God do it His own way. Ha ha.

It would be nice if He had settled the Arabs down ... made them feel brotherly to the Jews. Or like you say, Africa, maybe Sudan would have been nice :). Seriously, I think the men themselves had little to say about where they were led. That's my best guess.
