I'm African American and have split my ticket in the past though I'm ususally vote Dem. If a person feel GOP reflect their values- then they should vote GOP.

Personally don't see how the GOP platform reflect the views of most African Americans but that's just me. And no I don't know of any African Americans voting for McCain personally. I also voted for several White candidates who have ran against African Americans because the it just happened the White candidate were a better reflection of my political views.

Actually, 51% of us are according to Gallup. 41% are voting for Bush oops McCain. This is upon registered voters. Upon likely voters Obama has a 7 point advantage, according to Gallup.

Funny how he just happened to be on the front row. Don't suppose anyone in the campaign has heard his radio show do you? If anyone is playing the race card, I'd say it's someone within the campaign, and this dude just got suckered in. How about the white woman who said Obama was an Arab? Could she be racist? Funny how she got a soundbite in, without even showing her face. This sort of stuff is what comes from desparation. I'd rather lose an election than go to this realm.

If McCain goes this route at the debate, his numbers will sink further into oblivion. People just want to hear about the issues, but the independents may really get upset if he starts defaming a fellow Senator in this manner. Most of the country is trying to move beyond this racism stuff.

I always find it a little strange when an African American is a republican, just becasue minorities such as African Americans have typically been democrats in this country. There are, of course, exceptions. I feel the same way about Jewish or hispanic republicans. They have, historically, been liberal, so it is strange for me to see them vote for a party which has, historically, held their people down.

The bottom line for me is this: According to a National Geographic Special I saw about five months ago we literally have ten years to turn things around on this planet environmentally in regard to Global Warming or life as we have known it in America, Europe and around the world will be more than hard.

Your pocket book won't matter then... look at the Himalyas and their snow covered peaks...almost gone.. the Alps... Killamanjaro .. this is water... the numbers of people lacking water in India.. around the world.. the oceans rising.. our own ability to grow crops in this country..severe storms.. this is what the Republican Party furthered and has allowed to happen..

Where are we all going to live? It will take a huge effort of will and passion to save things...and it won't happen with another eight years of republicans. A lot of the damage already done will be bringing us a lot of trouble for many years to come and I think those who voted republican in future will realize what they have done to themselves, their loved ones, to everyone on Earth.

We are the most powerful nation on earth. We have to take repsonsibility to use that power wisely.

This last administration did nothing for anyone but a handful of people.. even their own party and its members have been abandoned. This is going down as the darkest moment in American history.. a subverted constitution, a corrupt Supreme Court, a bloodless coup for the president actually elected never took office. That is much ignored.

Also.. a republican leadership in the white house that did not like a report by a govt official
(who turned out to be republican himself!!!) and so got even by leaking to the a reporter that the mans wife was a CIA operative.. she was in deep cover and revealing meant that people she worked with around the world were revealed too and some of them died.. and her job? she was on the frontline stopping real terrorists from hitting us and she was betrayed... our nation was betrayed.. and the climate and environment in that White House allowed and encouraged that to be done. This was treason if you get down to it.

So though McCain as a man might be decent enough and though he has taken an independant stance (at times from Bush) we can't afford to allow at this crucial time in history another eight years of republicans.

As for this man Uncle James.. I do not know him.. but any african american person who supports the republican party is nuts, betraying themselves and their own people and the rest of their relations (meaning humanity, plants, animals, Mother Earth).

Obama is the only choice unless we want to see the planet or the quality of life on it and many human beings and animals destroyed by global warming.

Each played for the TV audience...even the woman who called Obama an Arab so McCain could say what he did to look like he was once again the "old McCain"...those rallies are planned and have been since Bush ran and no one was let in who did not sign a release form at Bush's rallies...each hand picked for being REPUBLICAN.

I saw this on CNN last night and the guy was getting a little shaky when viewers comments were read. I also saw the clip of him in the audience and he was clearly a minority in the audience, right in front. I do believe he has a right to choose who he votes for, but for publicity's sake, he was in the right spot at the right time.

Seems to me there are a lot more Obama supporters than McCain on Gather. Maybe I'm reading the wrong stuff?

Who ever gets into office, are going to try and get their deals thru. But with the senate and congress we have. they woun't be able to do what they want. and things will be about the same

Fred, I have to say I am going to vote for McCain but I see it as the lesser of two evils. I have entertained the idea of writing in the random person (ok so it was Bill Cosby) so I could say I voted but deemed that it would make my vote mean nothing at all. I personally find it turns my stomach from both sides with all the negative ads being put out. It very much appears that this guy was doing it for publicity...there is a slight chance he was not but it does not look that way. Have a Blessed day~

I agree with Martin on the whole scared issue. I and people like my parents are honestly scared of obama getting the vote. What set me off on him was his bogus iraq visit when he threw a fit about not being able to take a camra crew into the va hospital then cleared the cort played against a few guys then took off. Some support for the military. And people dont tell what he is going to do for the military. I don't want to trust that man with my brothers' lives or my fiance'. No way, no how.

I am still undecided but Obama is so Anti small businesses and if the company I work for goes under I am without a job. There have been several articles in newsweeek and business week that make me see John McCain is better for small businesses. Email me to convince me with a valid good arguement!

McCain and the Republican party have historically shown their lack of concern with the middle class and small business.
