I wanted to let you know about my group on Gather called Patches' Pet Pals. This is not just a group on Gather. I'm in the process of starting an organization called Patches' Pet Pals to help get medical assistance for animals in need. I can use all the input I can get and if you have good photos of animals that you would be willing to donate, I'm in the process of putting together the 2009 calendars for Patches' Pet Pals. All of the profits (over costs) will go to help animals. I have quite a few photos donated by rescue groups across the U.S. and Canada but I'm always looking for more.
I've already spoken to Cats International about giving Patches' Pet Pals a spot in their newsletter. They have a 50,000 member base so when the calendars are done, I'll be letting them and a lot of others know about them. Also, I will be needing volunteers in cities around the country to help in this endeavor. So, if you'd be willing to help, please let me know. Also, if you know of any vets who would be willing to donate a couple of hours of their time every month or every week, please let me know.
