Here we see the noble profile of the black panther in his native habitat out on the grassy savannah:

Don't let that serene-looking exterior fool you... The panther is always on alert for the presence of his prey:

AHA! The keen ears of the panther have heard his prey trying to escape through the tall grass!

Stealthily and quietly the panther creeps up the hillside:

Creeping ever closer to his unsuspecting prey:

Lying in wait in the tall grass of the savannah, the presence of the panther can scarcely be detected:

Then, like a well-oiled killing machine, HE SPRINGS!

Has he caught his unwary prey unawares?

Well... uhm... No, not really... It seems that he just had an itch...

For now, the panther moves off through the golden grass of the savannah...

This day, his prey has been lucky... But tomorrow is another day...

Glad we could bring ya a little chuckle, Adelaide! :o)
Oh, he DID, Jennifer... He most certainly did... ;o)
**bowing** thank-you, thank-you, Tanya...
EXACTLY, Laela!! Have you ever seen that PBS show "Caressing the Tiger"? It's all about how our little kitties still have a "tiger" in them! Fascinating!
Thanks so much for posting this to
my group
I was almost worried that he'd come up with something, and I would feel a little sad (I had trouble watching Wild Kingdom as a child, too).
Thank you for posting to Make me Laugh
Awwww... Lisa, my friend... I, too, had trouble with "Wild Kingdom"... But I have SUCH an adoring love of the "big cats" that I would be sadder still if their number was diminished... Especially by such a cruel fate as starving to death... A HORRIBLE, SLOW and PAINFUL way to die... Besides, there would be FAR too many wildebeasts, zebras and antelopes in the world if they were NOT made prey to the cats... Which would, then, result in them sharing the same kind of horrible death as that to which the big cats would be subject should they NOT make them their prey... 'Tis a difficult quandry, to be sure...
**bowing** Thank-you so much, kind sir, Mr. Lazar... That is high praise, indeed, coming from the keyboard of one so schooled in the writing arts...
Thank YOU, for having me, Kimber! :o)
Oh, yes, Marian -- Hubby and I are most CERTAINLY "owned" by Plunkett... (It's sure not the other way around, I'll tell ya! ...lol...)
