I had heard some mixed reviews about this movie, and happened to find it in the $5 bin at Walmart, so I picked it up.
The internet can be a scary place. But is it possible for the stereotypical prey, to become the preadator?Meet Haley, a 14-year-old girl who finds herself at the apartment of a 30-something man who she met on the internet. But when things take an interesting turn, Jeff, the man, wakes up after Haley had slipped something into his drink. The tables have turned and Haley is holding Jeff prisoner, suspecting that he knows what happened to Donna Mauer, a girl who disappeared, and wanting to make sure it never happens again.
While Hard Candy is an off-the-beaten path film with only 5 actors, it is a surprisingly good movie that will keep you thinking for a long time after seeing it.
Overall, I give it 5 stars, and honestly, it was well worth the $5 I paid for it.
