I'm Starting to Think About Christmas...

I am so excited for Christmas this year! I have a booth at a very large Christmas bazaar (the largest in the country!) to sell my photos. I'm excited and nervous and hoping to make some money. At least recap what I've put into it, which isgoing to be around $700. Yikes. But my goal is to make enough to have a really good Christmas.

I've started thinking about Christmas gifts for our kiddos. We'll be getting a puppy for all four and they are so excited. They've wanted a puppy for a long time and we're finally living somewhere that it's a good place. Lots of space for the dog to run and play and walking trail to walk him on. We're going to get a lab. :)

My daughter is going to get a play kitchen with bunches of play food and pots and pans. I'm not sure about the boys yet. They have more than enough toys and I'm thinking about some art lessons or a Children's Museum family pass. And books. Books make fantastic gifts for children!

How about you? Thinking about Christmas yet?

No, I don't think about that stuff until the last minute when I try and find my creche pieces in the closet. And some cards.

I can definitely understand why everyone is excited a about getting a dog, and it sounds amazing about the booth. I hope you sell a lot.

I have started getting books from the thrift store and the book sale for Christmas, and I found a huge bag of Brio train tracks for 5 dollars at the thrift store. Our boys have enough toys as well, but my oldest son will get two games for his leapster, and I still have not come up with anything but the train track for my youngest. We won't spend much this year, but I have the feeling the boys won't notice anyway.

I'm a Christmas fanatic myself. We begin shopping in August before the prices raise and seem to get great deals all the time. My favorite part is wrapping the gifts and watching peoples eyes light up when they what I've come up with. Have you considered a family pass to a local zoo or something? Just a visit or two and it pays for itself.

We have a zoo pass, so that's why I was thinking about one to the Children's museum. You're right, the zoo pass is fantastic! I think every family should have one!

Angel, have you thought about writing everyone a letter? Christmas is about so much more than gifts... It's about love and family and being together and celebrating that we're loved and that we love. I think that sometimes the holidays with the least amount of money become the most special because you get to truly focus on those important things. My mom has always written us each a letter, telling us how much she loves, the things she's enjoyed doing with us through the year, what we've done that makes her proud... I can't remember all the gifts she's given me through the years but I have every one of those letters.

Oh, yes.....I've hidden away a few gifts and am starting to think about designing my cards. I make about 100 each year.

Yes, I've been thinking about Christmas too. Yesterday I must have really been in the Christmas mood as all 5 articles that I wrote yesterday had to do with Christmas and getting ready for it.

I will start thinking about Christmas after vacation.
We are just barely starting to think about Christmas. My daughter was looking at something at the store today & I said maybe for Christmas!

I was thinking about Christmas the other day, but one of my immediate family members pitched a conniption fit about something trivial the other day, and is having genuine ego problems.

I'm excited about what to give the nieces and nephews, but I'll have to wait to cool down first before I start thinking of adults and planning. LOL

So I'm on a swing somewhere, excited one minute, annoyed the next, then excited again.

Oh well, today's THANKSGIVING in Canada, and I'm going to go eat a big turkey dinner. Maybe things will be clearer after I've stuffed my face.

Happy people like you add to the joy of looking forward to Christmas. If you weren't such a nice person, I'd be envious of your getting a new pup. What fun! The kids'll absolutely love the little lab and he'll/she'll love them. Be sure to get a book or two on how to raise labs. They're "working dogs," and love to be active. If they see any type of body of water -- they're in it, before you can blink -- don't forget, they ARE retrievers and instinctively hunters. The more DAILY EXERCISE they get, the healthier they'll be. Be sure to get some type of ID for your lab in the event he/she runs away or gets lost. But most of all Merry Christmas to you and yours.

I can't think ten minutes out right now so, no, I haven't been thinking about Christmas yet! ;)
Christmas this year is going to be homemade gifts, I am on workman's comp and the income is severely limited. I can't even figure out where to get grocery money at right now.
I do envy you with you photos for sale, I wish you all the best with that endeavor.

I'm looking forward to Christmas, I love the season. I've been buying small things here and there all ready. I have a LOT of books for the kids- probably 15-20 for Gillian, and 5-10 for Chris & Rae.

I have picked up a few things already. I also cashed out my points at pointsandprizes.com for a DVD for my son and my points on cokerewards.com for a magazine subscription for my daughter.

sitting and thinking of Christmas every day freaking out too about how I'm going to afford gifts for all 4 kids and I would like to get for my niece and nephews so total 8 kids yikes ranging from 2-17 not sure how anyone does it now a days. I have a bit of time to still figure it all out.

good luck with selling your pictures wish I could sell some of mine. I didn't know there is a market out there for people buying 700 dollars worth of photos good luck.
