What fun! It was like being a teenager again, standing up out of a moving car, door ajar, leaning out at about a 15 degree position, and yelling,

(I know you probably won't believe this, but there was not a drop of alcohol, or any other intoxicating or drug substance in my body; the "high" was NATURAL!!! Law enforcement probably would not have believed it, either -- not without the "touch my nose", and "walk the straight line" tests.)
I was taking a huge chance. That area is conservative, largely Republican, and law enforcement patrols it frequently. The California Highway Patrol office is on the next street from the street we were on, but in my dealings with the CHP, they have been very nice. In fact, a couple of Christmases ago, they gave me a travel coffee cup, (and some other things); the cup was lovely and said "don't drink and drive". Although the CHP have previously let me slide on much, this might have been too, too, too much.
By the way, I want to state -- for the record -- that I was NOT driving. I would never drive, while standing up, leaning out of any vehicle.
Enough of this.
Imagine a woman my age getting busted for doing what the Young Ones usually get busted for doing.

THIS . . .is the reason that you all should be sure to vote on November 4, or before, whichever the case may be. I don't mean to lean out of moving vehicles. What I do mean is, to feel the same exhilariation I felt when you vote for the candidate of your choice!

On a More Serious Note: the Silly Season is NOT Over, Yet
Let me tell you what's not over for us: HATRED, LIES, and DECEPTION. Recently, a new face popped up and "they" thought they were being clever. "They" wanted to talk to me (and me alone) about Senator Obama, wanted my views on whether or not Senator Obama was a "Socialist". They thought they could manage it through pings, and then just disappear. Well, I told them to write an article. They claimed to be "new", and to not understand the Gather process, said they thought pinging WAS the process of social exchange. Uh-huh. But miracle of miracles -- VOILA!, within 5 minutes, an article was up, called,
"What Say You" (so much for not understanding for how Gather works, huh).
What this person didn't anticipate was that other Obama supporters would be on the scene to respond to them, and by their response, my own suspicions about just WHO this ALTER was were confirmed. Yes, I did say "alter".
Interesting, the length that this hater of Obama went to, just to demonize Obama, and entrap me. HATE. LIES. DECEPTION. I shall provide more details, privately. I just want you to be aware of what's going on, and . . .remember, Yahoo! or your email comes in very handy to keep records, even records of articles that the writer wants to make disappear. That is my way of PROVING to you that what I'm telling you is TRUE, TRUE, TRUE. This person deleted their article, after Sandy Knauer showed up.
(Why are some of these people so fearful of a little innocent-looking elderly woman? I tried to tell "John" aka ____ that Sandy was harmless, but they weren't buying it.)

As a matter of fact, they stopped responding to their own article, and never returned to it; but continued to try bait me with an additional ping. But then, they removed their photo, they CHANGED their name, and took down ALL their other articles, and comments, almost immediately after I let them know I was on to them. Tsk, tsk! Actually the story I heard was that ignorant voters recieved phone calls on voting day and were told that the election was changed to Wednesday. But sorry to hear that your government screwed things up so badly for you.

The Racism of Sarah Palin
As much as I love Alaska, I must confess that there is a very strong bias there, and it is just as bad for the Native Americans as it is for African Americans.
I still like Alaska, even though I recognized much/could relate to a good deal of what the writer of that article was saying. I figure there shall be people like that in most areas here in the state. It's the results of colonialism, I suppose.

I think modern day racism is a two way street that has nothing to do with colonialism. I personally think African Americans are the cause for so much division in America today between races to be honest.

Basically, what my cousin wrote was that she came from 2 cultures --
Black and White.
She said that she had to adjust to each of those cultures, and bring both together,

different cultures would converge and unify, and that SHE was that UNIFYING FACTOR.
She realized that she was but a little girl, but she felt this it was important to do this, and that she felt a sense of accomplishment in having successfully done this, since her White grandparents were openly bigoted.

Yes I know very well that whites play that game and stoke those fears all for control. They are known as liberals.
Little Black Sambo was one of my favorite books. I don't deny that nasty things are said about people because they are black. They are nasty things said about me because I am tall. Individuals have prejudices but learning to brush them off and live your life is a skill that needs to be taught to everybody. Sometimes it seems that all a white person has to do is say something that reminds an African American that they are black and they scream racism. I for one resent that. I personally think that the crybaby mentality in the African American community has to stop for anything to ever change. Too many want to be the sheep of white liberals who tell them they have no chance. They like that plantation of hoplessness because it exludes them of any personal responsibility of their own. that's my opinion but I only based on my experiences.
I really did admire Obama at first. I thought despite the fact that I disagreed with his politics on most things it was good to get an outsider with a fresh perspective especially regarding race. His 2004 convention speech was about American pride and that always works on me. Then his pastor........over 20 years he sat there. I was done after that.
I am a conservative so I get called a racist, among other things, all the time. The charge is so watered down by left wing opportunists that it has no meaning anymore. At least to me.

2. The United Church of Christ is an American Christian Church, which is a branch off from the Puritan Church. Where did you get your facts, Jeff? So she's not helping him with people he needs, which are women voters, who have left him en masse to go back to Obama and with Independents and moderates, who are leaving the McCain camp. And I think many of them were leaning toward him, but now because of her and because of some of this incendiary language, they're moving the other way.
