I thought I'd tell you guys a funny little story from when I was small. I was recounting it to a friend this afternoon and thought you guys might get a kick out of it.
When I was two, I still wet my pants (nothing unusual for a two year old). Well, my Dad got it in his head that he could force me to quit. So, he gave me an ultimatum. He told me that if I didn't stop wetting my pants, he would send me out in front of the neighborhood in my diapers. He thought he could humiliate me into stopping.
Of course, I didn't stop wetting my pants so he sent me out in front of the neighborhood one morning in my diapers. By three o'clock that afternoon, every mother in the neighborhood (including the mothers of the four and five year olds) had called my mother asking why their children had to get diapers. I simply convinced every kid in the neighborhood that the thing to do was wear diapers.
I'm sure the mothers of the four and five year olds were ready to shoot my Dad at that point! Here they'd finally gotten rid of the diaper mode and this two year old comes along and convinces their kids that it's better to wear diapers. I'm laughing just thinking about it. I can just imagine these poor women's expressions when their kid comes home and asks for diapers. Especially since disposables hadn't been created yet.
I hope you're laughing at this point.
