Scarlet Fever (Rainbow Connection's New Color of the Week!)

In my corner of the world, Scarlet rules, come October.

Maple leaves blaze with color.

Wandering vines paint ordinary places with a bright palate of hues.

Leaves, once green, flame with fire.

Scarlet -- according to Wikipedia -- a red hue that is somewhat toward the orange.

Scarlet is hot.

Scarlet shows no shame as it parades up and down the streets,

Igniting our passions...

Piquing our senses...

Shining by day...

And glowing by night.

Scarlet... the spiciest of all harvest hues...

I've often thought scarlet to be nature's one last hurrah...

Before the world turns white...

Your photos are spectacular as always, Sherrie! Scarlett is everywhere here in St. Paul right now. The Sugar Maples are glorious this year ... I'd better get out with my camera tomorrow!
Greate color choice, just when the seasons are ready to change. This color should be fun and easy, even I can come up with some photos on this color.
