Who would have thought this is where we were headed with McCain's campaign?
In the latest instance of inflammatory outbursts at McCain-Palin rallies, a crowd member screamed "treason!" during an event on Tuesday after Sarah Palin accused Barack Obama of criticizing U.S. troops.
"[Obama] said, too, that our troops in Afghanistan are ‘air raiding villages and killing civilians,'" Palin said, mischaracterizing a 2007 remark by Obama. "I hope Americans know that is not what our brave men and women in uniform are doing in Afghanistan. The U.S. military is fighting terrorism and protecting us and protecting our freedom."
Shortly afterward, a male member of the crowd in Jacksonville, Florida, yelled "treason!" loudly enough to be picked up by television microphones.
'That's not McCain's fault'. 'He can't control the crowd'. Really? How about addressing it in the next rally? Saying at the next few rallies that they will not tolerate it and they do not condone it? They have not done that. They released a memo to the media, but have not spoken to their supporters at any rally after those incidents.
Ask yourselves why?
This is no isolated incident. Wath this video. Many McCain supporters believe these things. Whether they say it or not.
You will hear Obama is a terrorist because he has the bloodlines from one woman. You will hear worse.

Hypocrites!
I met Barrack Obama when he was running for the Senate. We came to our small auto factory in Central Illinois and stood outside the gates when we got off work and talked to the workers. He is very genuine and sincere.
as far as YOU are concerned, I am internet character. What monopoly money is to real money.
As far as THE PICTURE is concerned, I just like it. It's a photoshop of Bush McCain. McBush. Thought that was obvious to all.
I knew they were going some place like that but these people sort of surprise me. They believe what they are saying. Many policians are just demagogues putting on a show. These people are not.
Soon enough HATE groups will go to their rallies to recruit people. Why not? There is hate in the air during their rallies and nobody will deny that.
Sarah Palin's new fuel after her Katie Couric moments comes from hate. She gets up there, says Ayers, Terrorist and the crowd chants hate words.
Before she comes on stage somebody says "fight terror" Barack HUSSEIN Obama to signal to people what they want to hear from them.
The pattern is obvious. They have decided they will gain more votes than they will lose with these tactics. We shall see.

Could that be due to knocking WRONG POLICIES ?
Could that be due to the Republicans not offering anything of value ?
Joking the other day, I said McCain's ideas are dumb but I could not vote for the "commy" and got jumped by some woman telling me the cold war was over. Really, I did not know.
Listen folks, McCain and Palin are doing what Hillary was doing. Attack Obama's character. Now, when the crowd chants those hateful words, they need to be stopped. McCain camp has been a wee bit slow on that.
However, Ayers is fair game. Wright is fair game. It just look like desperation from McCain to bring it up now. They should have done this long ago.
I won't be sad if McCain loses. He is as much a phony as Obama. In particular with his Palin stunt and now, $300 billions for people who bought homes they could not afford.
Won't vote Obama and wish him no harm. These people on that video are disgusting. There are some of them in all parties, all groups.
Independent as in I am registered independent. Since you visited my profile where you read Indy, you must have seen that I've also said I support Obama. Makes no bones about it. What is your point? An independent should remain neutral?
I really do not know who you are.
You sound like those people in the video claiming not to know Obama.
Really, do you need to know who I am? Lady, I am a character. Get it? This is the internet. Nobody is nobody. Or you are whoever you want to be.
Some people have a tough time making a transition. Be nimble!!!
Thanks Richard. These people are bankrupt of ideas. My first vote was for a republican. Not this year. If the democrats mess up, I won't vote for them next time.
My phylosophie is simple. Don't reward mediocrity. These guys mess up in the White House for 8 years, in congress for 6 years. We have a 2 party system. Send them home. If the dems do the same, send them home as well.
Most of these hate shout outs are from Southern states that are populated with religious hypocrites that do not know up from down. Their should be only two names in the South to cover everyone, Ms. or Mr. Bubba.
She is no friend to Hillary that is for sure. She called her whiner.
Think I am kidding? Check their talkings points are so in sink with the campaign message. This is the same propaganda used in 70s and 80s consisting of paying people to call radio shows.
They are choosing to take the lowest, slimiest road available. What they fail to absorb is that this behavior will not only ensure a loss in this election, it will imprint many new voters with the knowledge--not belief--that Republicans represent the politics of hate and fear, period. That myopic strategy will cost them dearly in the future.
Their calculus tell them that it will cost them votes in places they will never win: California, New York, Massachusetts, Oregon, and so. They believe that in the short term, right now in particular, the state of racial tensions is such that an African American terrorist will cause ENOUGH whites to vote against him and that will carry the day in Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina, and Virginia.
Remember this is about the electoral college. If a net of 10 million people in California don't like it, and a net of 30,000 voters in Ohio believe this stuff, that can be significant.
All this hate mongering is turning my stomach. I didn't think I could have any less respect for the Repub. ticket until I saw this. At first I really thought McCain probably didn't hear the guy, and would speak out against that kind of mentality later, but it has been a while now and he still hasn't said anything.....He did make a kind of pained face when the guy said "kill him", so he must have heard it. Gov. Palin does seem to be in her glory though. Either way, they should have spoken out right away. I really think if the situation had been reversed, Obama would have been very quick to cut it off and denounce it.
"I don't know who YOU are" like you need to know.
"He works for Obama"
It will be easier to just say "he invents all this stuff"
nuts calling people nuts. Don't they sound like McCain. Stay away from the article. Talk about the author. No wonder they love McCain.
Why are they not talking about WHERE all the money will be coming from to give us ALL nice tax cuts? I still have not heard.
That quote sums up how I feel when I try to use facts to argue with those who say these hateful comments.
Crap! Why didn't anyone tell me if I put talking points in the sink I'd get paid?
After seeing it I searched that one 08 and found out someone created www.thatone08.com
Damn, I was on my way to buy the site and start selling stuff. I will have to listen carefully to McCain next debate and buy a domain.
Last word. Republicans are buying impeachobamanow.com impeachbarack.com impeachobama.com.
LOL.
Americans have been fighting this same, (but growing smaller) segment of our population since the civil war.
We can not let them win.
It is hard to think when you are overcome with hate.
That's all they have left. They have soild any dignity they ever had.
I suppose we all are working for him if voicing your opinion can be characterized as such.
Julie R.,
notice how they don't answer or flat out lie. Such as that woman who proclaims to have known of Palin when she was mayor of Wassila, Alaska. We should ask her if she knows who the mayor of Walla Walla, Washington is since she knows them all.
What's kind of interesting is that Bill Clinton had a good reception in Strongsville when he was stumping for Hillary during the primary.
The "bloodlines" and "look at his name" comments make it clear that prejudice and racism are alive and well and being played upon by the Republicans for the advantage they can get.
Politico.com has an article today about this. They point out that in 2000 and 2004, the same people used ridicule to go after Gore and Kerry. Bandaids, flip flop chants, I invented the internet. Now, it's "Obama Osama" - "he is a terrorist" - "Kill Him"
It's clear that the anger is racially motivated. I wonder which route they would go if his name was James Taylor. My guess is it will just take away the "Hussein Osama" part out. The "Kill Him" and "he is a terrorist" by way of knowing Ayers will still be heard.
I believe we as a nation are better than this low road.
as a whole we are. As pocket of Electoral Votes, I am not sure.
