Unless someone is being physically threatened by the person who is punched, punching someone in the face is a crime, The person who threw that punch is apparently lucky the Lehman Bros CEO did not choose to file charges. At least I saw no mention of assault and battery charges being filed.

You are correct, but I kind of doubt that Dick Fuld would like the publicity that the trail would attract. Plus a prosecutor might have a hard time finding a jury that would convict.
