Kenny Rogers sang a song some years ago about a woman named Lucille. Not anything like that other song about Lucille (sung by Little Richard) from the sixties as to the singing, tune and music, but similar in topic. Kenny's Lucille had done him wrong and he wanted to know why. When he found out, he kind of whined at her. I think she deserved it.
One of my brothers would sing this song a lot and thought Kenny said, "with four hundred children and a crop in the field" which the rest of the family laughed over as hilarious. We guessed that would be a good reason for doing herself a favor and getting out of Dodge. We informed my younger sibling that the kids were hungry not numous, but he listened not. He didn't believe us.
Anyway, the song goes, "You picked a fine time to ........."
This is your chance to alter the words of the writers Hal Bynum and Roger Bowling. Finish the line, make it funny.
And by the way, a big way, this song was suggested by Liz D, of' it's a dog's world', the very nice gather lady and friend who has already "voted for God". Many of you know her and can dedicate your funny lines to her if you want to do so.
