Vampire Love - Art/Writing Journal Update

Back in May I wrote this snippet called Vampire Love, so naturally, once I got my art journal, I decided to do a spread devoted to it.

I'm incredibly happy with how this spread turned out both vampiric and elegant.



The background papers are from the Dollar Tree they are a pattern called "Bohemian" I liked the deep red (like blood) and the gold. Very vampiric, very elegant.

I wrote my snippet on a red piece of note paper and mounted it to the center of the left page.



The right page contains a photo from Brahm Stoker's Dracula that a friend in Florida sent me many years ago. It's been a favored image of mine ever since I laid eyes on it.



The poem in the corner is one that I photocopied years ago. I have no idea where it was from, but I think it was in a scrapbook book. I thought it was beautiful and it was a perfect companion to the image.


It all came together effortlessly and I'm pretty pleased with the final result.
