I'm right there with you! Sometimes when my husband is watching politics, I'll not only leave the room, but put on headphones with music just to shut it out. I just can't listen to the same things over and over anymore.
I'm avoiding the TV tonight! I watched Dancing With The Stars, which is my fav show. Watched about 20 minutes of the debate and got so sick of it that I came back to the computer!
Long time ago I gave up the thought that these bozos will ever fix our problems better than ourselves. These are the same body of people who linked our national debt to Social Security fund, created the housing problem and allowed payday loans to proliferate. Personal responsibility and self education go a long way to making my future very bright.
I have no cable, I watch zero commercial TV (especially politics), and listen to NPR podcast programs by carefully choosing unbiased unfettered news (of course, I sometimes listen to the CarTalk and Prairie Home Companion because I have life). It's amazing how much you can learn by not listening to garbage.
We DVR our favorite shows. I almost never flip channels. Hubby does though and then I usually just enjoy whatever he's watching. Not into political debates.
