So i was at Kmart the other day and they had a bunch of "sad" looking rose bushes on clearance for $2. At that price I couldn't help myself, I bought two. I picked two that spoke to me not really caring what they looked like, after all they've been in planters all summer of course they'll look sad. It wasn't till I got home that I saw the real beauty in both bushes. Yes they look like they are on their last leg on a whole but when you look closer you see some real beauty and signs of life, really speaks to me and inspired some great photographs.
I'd love to hear feedback on any or all of them. :-)

The one above i really like the stem, the way it curves to draw your eye to the flower. Lovely I think.

Both the top and bottom remind me that beauty is within, no matter what the outer lay looks like you should always look closer!

I got a little arty with the above shot- my husband and I were discussing why we liked this shot over one or two others. I like the rich color up in the right corner of the mulch, he likes the shadow.

I hope I age as beautifuly as this rose has, it's at the end of it's life but it's still worth looking at.

I wasn't sure if I liked this picture, it took really staring at it to figure out I like the composition, the darkness of the background.

I simply like to color of the above shot.

Going out with a shot that I really have so much to say about but I don't want to, I think there is so much depth here you can pull out what it means to you. :-)
