I think things are getting a bit stretched here, on both sides. None of the candidates support terrorism. I won't be voting for Palin, because she is not qualified and I don't agree with most of she and McCain's platform. That would be the point. People want to play six-degrees of separation with Obama, and come up with all sorts of implications, but it's not OK to do the same thing to them. I've been saying this from DAY ONE. Every single one of us, if someone bothered to look, have several people in our lives that, under the right spin, would make us look bad. Co-workers, neighbors, friends, family members. If you are going to paint Obama in a corner because of things a neighbor did when Obama WAS EIGHT YEARS OLD, we need to all look in the mirror and wonder who in our lives makes us look bad.

Here is a little history on the Alaska Independence Party. The Party was founded by an ultra-rightist gold miner, Joe Vogler in the 1970s with an "anti-American" platform. Palin has denounced those abroad in oil rich countries who "hate America." Joe Vogler hated America. He said in the 1970s, "I'm an Alaskan, not an American. I have no use for America or her damned institutions."

I don't know how true it is but this is pretty similar to what the republicans are dishing out. Lets take the high road and not worry about this stuff and worry about what is important - how we are going to feed our families no matter who's president next year.

Whether it is true or not, and it is certainly closer to Palin if it is than Obama is as an 8-yr-old to anti-war activities, it won't make a spit of difference to the people who are planning on voting for McCain.
