About the only 'talent' I have is being able to walk again. I have no family; only a best friend...and I really have no one I can depend on if I need them. Aren't I a pathetic loser?

yes i do share my talents i have showed my friends how to can for winter how to quilt and how to make counted cross stich an many other things i hope iam being a good teacher in these things i try to keep learning new thing in life

I have a very close family.

I don't have any talents that I can think of but I'm always willing to help someone if it's within my power.

I'm pretty good with kids. I'm good with my hands, and can make things if someone shows me how. If I have to be creative, then forget it. I can make a campfire quickly. I can take care of sick people. I can crack a few jokes and tell a story or two. I can weave baskets.

My family is not close at all. Funny thing is, neither is my husband's family. And here's the big irony of all -- I had 4 children because I wanted them to have each other to count on since there is no extended family at all. So, I figured if I had a fairly big family maybe they would at least have each other. Well, I also had family day care in my house, so they played with their little friends who came over every day. They got used to bonding with friends and not each other. Now they are like 4 only children, they hardly talk to each other at all! LOL

Let me start by saying my family is very close. My brother, husband and I and my parents bought a 3 family house together.
I have quite a few talents. One of my best talaents is painting, as in houses and walls. I also wallpaper, and I have done both on many a friends house. I am very crafty, I crochet and all my friends benefit from this.
Now only if my friends would share their talents.....lol

Talents

I have lots. I can cook and make a meal from just about nothing. I can mix and pour concrete, lay brick and block. I can drive just about anything if not anything. I can fix a toilet and do basic plumbing and electrical work. I can pull a trailer behind anything and even back one up like a pro. I can do laundry with the best of them. I can type and plant a garden. I can crochet and sew and teach kids to do things.

Ok that's enough for now.

You have a talent for bringing smiles to others faces. I know that for a fact and I am sure you have many more talents as well.

I'm still looking for my talent. It's hiding in someone else I think.

One of mine is to be able to find information I'm looking for - others often ask me things, even if it's not an area they know I have interest, because they know (instinctively, almost, it seems) I can help them find the answer they need, or the path to it. I frequently find myself researching things for people, even people I barely know. I guess that kind of goes along with my lifelong tendency to hoard information and categorize/organize it - at essence, I think I'm a reference or archival librarian.

And I seem to communicate fairly well, often being able to see what one side is saying and put it in language another side can hear/understand. So, I play diplomat now and then.

I'm pretty crafty, too, and like to gift that talent to friends and family. Made a living at it for a while, also, before I put it aside to raise my little ones.

I know that in my family we can all count with each other....my biggest problem is I'm so far away from all of them!

The rest of my family has lots of artistic talents. I've been told I have perfect pitch but that's not a talent that does anybody much good. But when it comes to depending on a family member, we turn to #1 son if any of us has a computer or related problem.

I really don't know...I have a talent for crocheting. I have a lot of patience and perseverance.

I have lots of talents. My husband comes to my aid if I need him to. My husband, daughter and I are very close.

I cook (but hate to bake).
I do embroidery work (On pillows & linens & clothing) and beadwork (on clothing) but hate to sew.
I also do beading & jewelry, right now I am making wreaths, and garlands for my patio area.

What are your talents? i paint mostly, but i also write on occasion, crochet and cook. i used to dance and sing, but can't really do those very well anymore.

and i apparently have a talent for attracting psychos and locking myself out of my car and house.

Do you have someone you can depend to come to your aid if you need them? why yes, i do. many in fact. 2 of them proved it last night by taking me to the hospital and staying with me all night.

Is your family close? yes and no. i know i can count on them when i do need them, but we don't talk all that much. physically, my dad lives around the corner. the rest of the family lives up north. my friends are more my family as far as closeness however.

My talents? I love to embroider and do tapestry - used to knit a lot, but my arthritic fingers don't like that hobby any more!

I am a good cook (so say friends and family) and I've posted a lot of traditional Scottish recipes here.

I love history and genealogy and give help with those subjects for those who are interested.

Making pixels, making small amounts of money on the internet, scrapbooking.

I do not have anyone who can I can depend on if I need some aid. I would say my family but they can't afford it living so far away on a limit income.

I am able to compartmentalize. I can put things in a little box in my head, and close the box, and leave them there. It comes in handy when someone breaks my heart in one way or another. the trouble is, it takes years of therapy to undo all of that!

There is not one person on earth besides my husband who would actually come to my aid. I am alone here, don't have a friend in the universe besides him.

Writing poetry I hope but guess you'll can be the judge of that. I can play the piano, paint and do beautiful needlework. Guess those are all talents.

Rob - I believe you have the talent of overcoming obstacles and still have a smile on your face and that is definitely a talent!
