Everytime we go to the crane foundation's art gallery/education center, this painting struck me as beautiful. I'm not sure if it's the colors, the carefree strokes or the marriage of words and art, but it's lovely. I have no idea who the artist is. I don't see any names on it.
I took several shots of it (so that you can see the word details) one day, and here's the shots. :)
The full painting.
Close up sections of the painting:
I'm not sure what area this one is...
A close up of the head and face.
The area in front of the beak.
The crown of the crane.
The tummy area.
The bottom of the crown and the back.
It's lovely seeing art and writing come together like this, isn't it?

Whenever I see something unique like that I want to see who drew the picture. What were they thinking? Did they begin with that idea or did they just catch some irregular markings they accidently made and then take off with that. To think what is going on in the artists mind is as interesting as the picture.
Thanks so much for going to so much trouble to bring it to us.

Indeed it is, Donna. I only wish I could have thought of doing something like this myself. :)
Me too, Chelsea.
Thanks Sue.
No problem, and thank you, Marilyn
I thought it was an incredibly unique take on the otherwise dully colored crane, Sherrie.
Thanks, Bridget
It was my pleasure, Margieanne
thank you Pamela!
Thank you, Rae
Thanks SO much, Sherrie! Wow that was really unexpected!
Rene, I've viewed this many times and there's still much that I've yet to see. It has so many layers to it.
Thank you, Karen. I agree it is intriguing.
Thank you Cristina, Lisa, Rose, Kay, Curt, Phyllis, Melinda, Jeanette, Marilyn, Sue, Carolyn & Jerri!
I agree, Elizabeth. I can see why they chose it to be the first thing you see on the door in the gallery.
Glome, I, too wish I could have seen the artist. There's something about this work that draws you in and doesn't let go.
Thank you Rene!
Thanks so much, Renda, I'm glad you agree on the pairing of word and art. :)
