O.J. is guilty!
13 years to the day of his famous not guilty verdict in the killings of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman, O.J. Simpson is found guilty on all 12 counts of armed robbery and kidnapping in a 2007 sports memorabilia heist in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Although I understand your meaning, OJ is not paying for the 'misdeed' of a double murder. Many believe that "as long as he pays for some misdeed..." it's better than never paying for any misdeed and while this is valid, part of the obligation to punish misdeeds is the obligation to the victims of the 'misdeed' and their families.

I assume that Ron Goldman's family and Nicole Brown Simpson's family are happy that OJ has been found guilty of something but he was found guilty of something...the wrongful deaths of Ron and Nicole in a civil court and the families were awarded a multi million dollar settlement....they've received only a very small portion of this judgment.

The sentencing of OJ will be for at least a mandatory 5 years but could be for up to life. We'll know on December 5th. Of course there will be an appeal but most of us hope for a lost appeal and a life sentence ...including me.

Even besides the fact of the murders, he thought he was above the law. You can't just go take something that used to belong to you just because you want it back. If you have a legitimate claim, you have to go through the courts. He thinks that the law does not apply to him, that he's some sort of golden child.

I guess the glove fit this time. I clearly remember the day I heard the double murder verdict on the radio, sitting there for a good 10 minutes trying to comprehend how he wasn't found guilty.

I remember too Dave. I remember exactly where I was and with whom when I heard the verdict. You could have heard a pin drop. The look of disbelief on each of our faces spoke louder than any words could have.

While I believe that OJ Simpson was guilty of the murders in the case concerning Ron and Nicole, I also believe that according to the standard of law, there was no other valid verdict the jury could have come to. The other side proved a lot of things but not the issues and did not meet the standard required to find him guilty according to the CRIMINAL LAW standard. I think that this is sad, and because of his actions there has been a waste of not only the lives of Nicole and Ron but even his own life. I also think that it is horribly sad that the Goldman's have made a life of profitting on the death of Ron Goldman.

Felix...Are you saying that if Nicole and Ron had never been murdered...the OJ murder trail had never happened...that OJ would not have been found guilty of conspiracy, burglary, kidnapping, robbery and assault in the La Vegas incident? Are you saying that he was not guilty of conspiracy, burglary, kidnapping, robbery and assault but only found guilty by the jury because he was not found guilty in the murder trial?

If so...can you support your position or are you making wild unsupported speculations?

This is karma.. Of course he was guilty in the deaths of his wife and Ron Goldman..
It is odd it is to the exact date...

I too agree with the comment above about the Goldmans trying to reap gold from the death of their son .. let him rest in peace.. i lost a child in July and could never do this sort of thing ..

We are always paid our dues in one way or another. Long time coming for O.J. but it did come and is coming .

I am soooo glad that OJ is going to do some hard time........he is NOT and has never been above the law.......the newscasters said on t.v. he will get a minimum of fifteen years to life.........stay tuned folks, for the upcoming sentence for OJ and his accomplice.

Don't blame this on the jury. He broke every law there was trying to get his (supposidly his ) stuff back. He wasn't being tried for murder this time and wasn't found guilty because of it.

This egotistical SOB, is getting what he deserves. I really believe he thought he was above the law. Why else would someone go in and try to rob those things? He thought he was untouchable. And the friend who helped him was a fool and is going to get what he deserves. I just hope he is denied an appeal so he can't drag all this crap out.

Michael, this trial is totally bogus. 6 months in jail at the most. The fix was in...a chance for getting the black man that murdered those two white people and got away with it. Seriously, kidnapping?

I am making no speculations...white America tried and convicted O.J. before the murder trial and it's been out for vengence ever since he was found not guilty. There is no such passionate hatred over whether Bobby killed Bonnie...it's not important he isn't black. Let the courts decision stand, but, where O.J. is concerned the pound of flesh must be had. Well, here it is...enjoy. I guess you'll be having the dark meat for dinner. Bon Appetite!

Felix - "Kidnapping", according to the actual law is the forceful movement of an individual against his/her will. This was clearly shown in the security video footage of the Simpson trial. Kidnapping doesn't have to involve abduction or holding someone for ransom, as is often the implied / common meaning.

As for your "white vengence" [sic] assertion, OJ's lawyers are going to argue the same thing. I believe one of his lawyers indicated they'd be appealing on the ground of, among other things, "jury selection". I don't predict a favorable verdict for them. You can say that he was convicted last week as penance for his previous crimes, but its hard to argue that he wasn't guilty of the crimes in Las Vegas based on the evidenced presented.

Did you hear how the jury said afterwards that didn't actually pay attention to the testimony of the witnesses. They said they didn't need witnesses to convict. Well, duh!!!

funny it took this long to find him guilty of something one of us would had been guilty right off the bat.not sure this is worded right,but i had a teacher who murdered his wife and unborn child because he was messing around and could not divorce cause of religious reasons, so he committed a devasted murder while his young daughter was at his mother's house and then he went on a hunting trip with friends and "found her" when he got back. he died in jail several years later, so sad for the little girl.
